The real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself – Maya Angelou

If you are doing something that, nobody else is doing. Teaching others to be better than themselves. Or, creating something in servitude to a different world, then you are not an ordinary human being. You are born leader. And, you may have the following qualities.

YOU HAVE FAITH IN YOUR BELIEFS

Being a true leader often stems from your beliefs and how you see the world. You may not be swayed by others opinions or follow their orders simply because it is what everyone else is doing. Rather, you cultivate your own beliefs and until they can be challenged, then only will you give kudos to the opponent.

YOU MAKE HARD CHOICES

You can make decisions and choices easily compared to others. You have a way of thinking and deducing facts until you reach the right decision. Often, this is a hard choice and it may affect others. But, with your abilities, you are able to see the right course of action and are undeterred when making it.

YOU GARNER RESPECT AND LOYALTY

Wherever you go, your personality shines through and you are able to stay grounded in your conversation. Keeping a level head and being down to earth shows one your true nature and people respect you for not throwing tantrums or having wild outbursts. You are someone they can count on and this engenders trust, respect and loyalty.

YOU KNOW THAT PEOPLE ARE THE KEY TO SUCCESS

Irrespective of whether you are a businesswoman or career woman, you know that people are your biggest asset. You know that although you would like to do things on your own, you may need a team of trustworthy people to help you get to where your business needs to go and to make your vision possible.

YOU ARTICULATE A CLEAR VISION

Leaders are great communicators. They know what they want and how to communicate this. Their speech is succinct and to the point and they make sure that it is visual and strikes home. By doing this, you appeal to peoples realities and not just something that they have not experienced.

YOU PUSH PEOPLE TO BE THEIR BEST

You often find yourself encouraging people, whomever they may be, to follow their dreams and to think and be bigger than what they are. Anything is possible and you make sure you drive this home.

YOU SERVE A GREATER CAUSE

A leader would not be a leader if they did not believe in what they are doing and if they were not serving the greater good. You know in your heart that you are meant for more. You know that you were not meant to live a mediocre life, doing the same thing as everyone else. You were meant for something bigger and you know you will create that platform. After all, you are a leader at heart.

YOU HAVE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

Being honest and having integrity are key components to who you are. You may find that all your relationships are based on this. Moreover, should anyone in your life be dishonest with you, you have no problem in moving on without them. A leader does not surround herself with dishonest people.

YOU INSPIRE OTHERS

Leaders have the ability to capture an audience. They have a different mind-set and when they speak, they are so charismatic that you cannot help but be drawn to them. Your actions, way of life or even the way you see the world can inspire others. Your resilience in the face of adversity and your effort in consistently trying to make a situation better, is inspiring to others.

YOU HAVE COMMITMENT AND PASSION

You are passionate about what makes you happy and you are committed to this. What you are passionate about, shows in your delivery and hard work. Being passionate about something does not feel like a job, you are doing this for yourself and for those that may appreciate it.
