Words and some kinds of support are free
Every chance that I get, I try to uplift someone. There are many reasons as to why. Sometimes, someone really needs positive reinforcement. Sometimes, someone is having a bad day and one positive word will help them keep going. Sometimes, they will feel better about themselves, smile, and then get the sign that they needed so that they can continue to try to reach their full potential. If I see that someone is actually trying to follow their dreams and working hard at accomplishing them, there is no reason as to why I shouldn’t support that. I will give them a few encouraging words. Words and some kinds of support are free. They literally cost nothing.
Everyone has talent
You should never have an ounce of envy in you regarding another person. Everyone has talent. I believe that every single human has a special gift inside of them that they are able to utilize, whether it is art, singing, dancing, writing, problem-solving, helping others, medicine, law, or many others. There is an unlimited number of talents that a person can possess. However, whatever talents they are, every single one of us holds them inside of us. Instead of thinking thoughts that are filled with envy, why don’t you take that energy and place it into using your gifts and talents? Why don’t you put them to use in a better way?
Supporting others won’t make you lose
Many times, it is free. So, what does it cost you to support those around you? The people around you should be rooting for you. It is extremely important to surround yourself with people who support you. I am not saying to surround yourself with people who agree with every single thing that you do. It is also important to surround yourself with people who will constructively criticize you and help you right your wrongs. What I mean is that it is important to surround yourself with people who are not envious of your success. It shouldn’t be a competition. And, you know why? Because there is a gift inside of everyone. We have our own talents. We just need to use them.
Support the people who are close to you. If you don’t, then why are you in their lives? To be idle? I challenge you to do something to show support to the people in your lives, whether it is spreading the word about a business that they started, supporting their business pages on their social media accounts, or sending them a few encouraging words. If you don’t, ask yourselves why they are in your life. Sometimes, if you are incapable of showing support to those close to you, it is more of a reflection on you rather than them.
It is important to know that it is not easy to help others. But, I believe that eventually, the universe will give you what you give it. Everything comes in full circle.
Here Are Some Ways To Show Support To The People Around You:
1. Refer their business to others who need it.
If you can’t afford to purchase their services or products, there are other ways to support them. You can spread the word to others who need their products or services. Does someone want to read a new book? Tell them about your friend’s new book. Does someone want to hear a new song? Send them a new song that your friend just released. Does someone need an event planner? Refer them to your friend who plans events. Does someone need a makeup artist for an event? Tell them about your friend who is a freelancer. There are so many different businesses where this can be applied.
2. Buy their products/use their services.
If you need a service/product that their business offers, buy it from their business instead of getting it elsewhere.
3. Spread their work on your social media accounts.
Spreading the word and showing support on social media is free. Why not support them in such an easy way?
4. Share information that could be helpful to them.
Hear about an event that they could attend? Did you read an article somewhere that you feel can be beneficial to them? Did you hear about someone who is looking for a graphic designer? Did you hear about someone who needs a writer? A real estate agent? A personal trainer? Did you hear about something that can be good for their business or help their business? Tell them about it. Chances are that they will remember and return the favor to you too.
5. Help them in any other way that you can think of.
The smallest things that you do to help someone, who is a creative or who has their own business, will help. Anything that you can think of is always appreciated to those who are grateful.
