Stressed? Visualization Practices You’ll Simply Love Doing To Beat It! womenontopp.com Women On Topp

I was lounging on the fresh green grass star-gazing on a pleasant still night when a thunderbolt struck my life waking me up on land trapped in the corner of a room away from my beloved, filled with tears of sorrow and pain. Well, if this wasn’t your story, but you were equally stressed, I have a few stress-busting tips to share that would help you come back stronger and win at life after this thunderbolt you’ve encountered recently.

Visualization- as the name suggests, is a pretty simple technique of mindfulness that empowers you to visualize yourself into a totally different mental sphere contrary to your physical world where you find your calm and gather the strength to steer your reality better with a fresh perspective once you soothe your mind and the nervous system of your body.

All you need to do is- position yourself in a comfortable posture at a quiet place, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to feel relaxed. Here after you may continue to imagine visuals with your eyes closed and some soothing music playing in addition, or choose to check out some focused visual themes easily available online along with some tranquil scores playing in the background. I recommend you practice this for about 15-30 minutes daily.

Some of the popular themes to focus on during Visualization are:

1. Ocean- Carry yourself away to an enchanting world below the waters. Feel the fishes touching you and calling you to relax your nerves along these gentle waves!

2. Clouds- Just like the clouds keep passing by in the vast sky, so do the ever-changing thoughts that come to our minds. Let the cloud-like thoughts come and go. Like the constant sky, connect with the authentic emotions behind the temporary thoughts.

3. Galaxy- When you fail to figure out how big our galaxy could be, you shall try figuring out how big are you against this big galaxy you are living in! Or let’s now ask how tiny are you? Well, now let’s see how big can your stress be? Let go of the pressures and anxieties holding you back when you get lost in this endless galaxy.

4. Sunrise/Sunset- Are you aware of how the shape of the sun changes by each minute as it emerges or diminishes? The Sun is worshipped for its virtue of illuminating light in the dark, making us more aware- physically, emotionally and mentally. Such a practice on awareness empowers your decision-making skills.

And lastly my own suggestive practice you may choose as your theme for focusing:

Memories- A place, a person, a pet, an event, anything and everything that transports you to ‘your happy place’, is simply great to focus on when you practice visualization for self-love and happiness!

Now you surely can de-stress yourself in a quickie when you’re stressed out. Share your love across, especially to the ones around you who are struggling too! A little of what we all can do collectively, forms a large pool of gratitude together! Stay strong, healthy and empowered!
