You may have a personal trainer, a dietitian or nutritionist, and perhaps a counselor or psychologist. Why would you ever need a Life Coach? Maybe because your self-confidence could use a boost. One of the greater benefits of working with a life coach is that a life coach can help you develop your self-confidence. Life coaches work with you on self-assertion and support you as you take risks that make your life better and help your dreams come true. Many people think that they don’t need help and that they can do everything by themselves. The truth is that it always helps to have support, especially the support of an experienced professional who can aid you in getting where you want to be without wasting any excess time or money.
Personal and life coaches are becoming more popular as both women and men realize that they need help in specific areas of life such as career, home, and personal growth. But what does how does a life coach really work? And where do they get their knowledge from to coach people’s lives? Today we are interviewing Gabriella Flores, the CEO, and founder of the holistic practice Soul Excelsior. While most people have studied and practice life coaching Gabriella Flores has both studied and experienced her own struggles and learned how to overcome them. Flores has lost 70 pounds, quit smoking cigarettes for 9 years and has reflected everything that she has wanted and is now living the life of her dreams. She did this all with the power of her mind. Gabriella Flores has a passion for meeting new people and for improving their lives. Flores published a very short book 33 pages, titled Soul Excelsior. Soul excelsior the book is about Gabriella Flores’ journey, Soul excelsior the practice is how she passionately helps others on their journeys.
In your own words, what do you do?
I offer unconditional support and a non-judgmental space to beautiful souls who can boldly step forward upon their own heroic path. As their personal life coach, hypnotherapist, reiki master, I am a champion for their highest thoughts, so that they may experience the clarity of their own self-mastery.
Can you share anything from your book Soul Excelsior?
Who are your readers? Soul Excelsior the book is about sharing my personal stories to empower anyone who needs a quick pick me up. Readers will find that we are always seeking answers from the external world when the answers lie within us. We never have to feel alone in our journeys of life.
If you had to pin it down to just one skill, what skill is most essential to being a successful life coach?
Thich Nhat Hanh often speaks of being able to listen deeply and use loving speech. One of my greatest skills is I listen without an ego. I give them space and opportunity to allow them to speak freely. First, they begin by speaking from a place of ego whether its attachments to pain and suffering. Then they speak from their inner child where they have allowed themselves to be compassionate. Then they begin loving and aligning with their higher selves. None of this can be done if we are inserting our words into someone else’s process. I believe listening is the one skill everyone takes for granted but it’s what will make anyone in any field the most successful.
Tell us the differences between life coaching, hypnotherapy, and reiki?
-Life Coaching can be one of the keys to a happier, healthier life. The most successful people on the planet understand the huge benefit of investing in themselves. My job is to give you the tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling life.
-Hypnotherapy is taking care of your physical health, reducing stress levels and exercising can all help towards building self-esteem. Hypnosis will help to concentrate your mind to be in better physical health, it will definitely help you to relax and reduce your stress levels, it will give you that ‘me’ time that will allow you to make those positive changes. A hypnotherapy session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness.
-Reiki is a spiritual healing art that means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. It is believed that a person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free-flowing. When this is true, a person’s body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance. A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional.
Why decided to do all of the three and not one?
Wellness is a choice of a lifestyle marked by a balance of mind, body, and spirit. Hypnotherapy deals with the mind, Reiki deals with the body and Life coaching deals with the spirit. These holistic practices lead to healing that sees the human being as a person in search of wholeness.
How do you make sure you keep your clients happy and satisfied?
I recognize that my amazing clients are the experts of their own life. Even still, that may not be sufficient, because sometimes the client might be too close to the matter where they can’t focus on the correct paths to take to reach mastery. I can look at the situation more objectively as an outside observer. I guide these beautiful souls to look inward and help them to define realistically the results that make the most sense for their unique situation. I bring the best out of them and get them to take the right steps towards achieving their desired results.
Who are your clients?
Any beautiful soul that is ready to unlock their greatness on their path of transformation towards the ultimate mastery that they desire.
If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Don’t let life discourage you. It doesn’t matter when you begin. Everyone who got where she is had to begin where she was. The answer is to always believe in something bigger than yourself.
