These unprecedented times are hard for all of us but it is also a great time to focus on your career on your goals that you have thought of for a really long time. All of the tactics you use to boost your career have even more impact over the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) quarantine times.

Here are some fun ideas to boost your career while being in these unprecedented times.

Rally your relationships

Whatever your goals are, you need people to help you get there. And, there’s no better time than now to shower your network with gratitude and attention.

Make special efforts to get in touch with business associates: those from the past, present, and people you would love to work with in the future.

Call don’t text. Mail don’t email. These times call for a more personal touch. Take the time to write cards thanking people for what they have meant in your life. Make or buy small tokens of your appreciation too. People will remember special gestures.

Gooey and cheesy are recommended.  And I am not talking about just the fabulous food. Lay on the love thick. There is a reason those Hallmark movies are so popular. Enjoy giving and receiving all the feels.

Use the power of positivity

First, you have to believe. Faith, fate, the universe, magic… But mostly believe in yourself.

Let all these COVID-19 (Coronavirus) inspire you to create a new affirmation for yourself. I am…..fill in the blanks. And then show up that way.  Make strong impressions and spread joy to the world. BE CREATIVE!  Dress yourself up like the amazing gift you are even if you are at home and connect with people through the internet, make video calls with people you thought you would never do!

If you want to get more, you need to give more so be charitable. Give money if you can but your time is equally valuable. Volunteer at food banks or any charity that is legit and helping the vulnerable out there, but remember to stay safe! Volunteering feels so good you will feel like you’re adding up to something extra in life.

Spread love and kindness around like sugar sprinkles.

Master your self motivation

Make a list and check it twice. What can you do to get closer to your ultimate goal? What can you do right now? You have the internet you have more time than ever to do researches. Yes, COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is terrifying but it’s still a great time to make career advancements.

It’s the unprecedented times to give generously, but we should also ask for what we want too. Tell everyone about your goals. You have to say it out loud for people and the universe to conspire and support you.

Relax and rejuvenate, but don’t procrastinate. How can you even procrastinate during these times? Have you been thinking about learning something new? Now you can, the internet can provide you WITH EVERYTHING. It is a great time to gift yourself. There is no more important investment you can make.

And lastly, be sure your Linkedin profile is polished and up to date.  All of your efforts will have people checking you out so be sure you look impressive.

Although it’s been said many times, many ways, make the most of these COVID-19 (Coronavirus) times.

Stay home, stay safe, and start investing in yourself! You are sure to shine and set the stage for the next months of 2020 to be your best year yet!
