High on Power

“Power’s not given to you. You have to take it.” Beyonce

At a young age your parents may have told you that anything is possible. Or they may have been realistic and told you that only when you work hard do your dreams come true. Whatever they told you I’m sure you believed them and you took those words and ran with them. You worked hard. Better yet you worked your ass off! And now look at you. You climbed the ladder of success with ease and now you are the go to person at your corporate office or even the CEO of your own company.

Look at US. Strong, powerful women chasing after our dreams and making it all happen. We overcome obstacles and see problems as opportunities. Yet, there bears the question where does our internal drive or “POWER” come from and how are we so lucky to have it?

Our power is unleashed through our energy.  What we think is our reality and what we believe about ourselves we portray. Therefore, if we believe that we are powerful than we are powerful. If we believe that we can be CEO than we will become CEO. Our power, the energy that we give off, not only inspires us but inspires the lives of those around us to be stronger as well.

So how do we produce more of it?

Being Present

Only when we are present can we fully access our powerful purpose. In order to remain present and focused we need to ensure that we practice self-care; exercise, down time, meditation, yoga, cooking and walks are all good activities to free your mind and spend time in silence. It is only when the mind is silent that it can process all of the outside noise and presence can be achieved.

Gratitude

Your source of power comes from within. If you are happy your aura will exude happiness. If you have feelings of unworthiness this will show in your actions.  If you believe that you will fail than you will fail. If you are grateful for all of the gifts that you have than you will be open to receiving more and you will receive more.

Be Confident

Be confident without being arrogant. Be confident in your skin as well as your decisions. Acknowledge your power and use it for greater good.  Utilize the power of words and use them wisely.

Choose your Community Wisely

Surround yourself with people who share the same traits and values as you.  These people will not only inspire you but they will encourage you to keep climbing the ladder of success. They will be your wholehearted supporters, cheerleaders and will pick you up anytime you are down.  Powerful women stick together and support each other through thick and thin.
