Do You Love Yourself Enough To Succeed?

Self-love and acceptance is the root of all success. What we believe we are worth and capable of, is the essential foundation that we can further build on.  This is why so few make it to the top.  Many of us know how to get a few levels off the ground, but the further we go and the more setbacks we face our foundations become tested, subjecting them to be crushed if not well initiated.

It doesn’t depend on outside circumstances, though.  It depends on how you choose to show up, grow, and heal within your own capacity.

A woman who has truly put in the personal work to do just that, knows no limits, and certainly doesn’t give in to the word “no.” And in turn, no outside obstacle is stronger than her growth.

Work or Scapegoat?

There is a fine line between being a negative and positive workaholic.  I can say I’ve flirted on the tagline of being both.  Before I was willing to put in the personal work to confront what I was running from, work was my peace of mind.  A distraction that also yielded success and recognition—win, win.  However, this type of lifestyle was only temporary, and I started to plateau as I continued to subconsciously deny the successes I truly deserved.

It became second nature to mentally put myself into a space of self-sabotage.  Acting as if life was happening to me rather than for me. With each setback I played the victim and got comfortable doing so.

The mind is arguably one of the most powerful tools we own, and if it’s used poorly it can self-destruct as oppose to build, ultimately attracting similar situations into our lives.

So I ask you to get real with yourself and question what your goal is in the work you perform.  Is it a mask to avoid something else? Or is it unveiling your deepest desires?

The Power of “Why”

As you start to ask yourself these questions, formulate what your truest “why” power is.  Why is your work important to you? Why do you want to reach that goal? What will happen when you get to the top?

This is the core of building a solid foundation.  This “why power” is where you will come back to any time you face an obstacle, a setback, negativity, and all that makes it hard to continue.  THIS is why you started and why you will never go back to where you were again.  Your ambition will only be as strong as your “why power.” Tap deeply into your heart sense so that you know exactly what that is for you.

Take Care Of Yourself

As much as ambition is admirable, make sure that you are still taking the time for yourself to recover.  Especially as you start unlocking the more intimate sides of yourself and your hustle, it can get heavy, making it easy to want to take on more as a way of avoidance.

Check in with yourself regularly and make sure that you are allowing yourself the time and rejuvenation to continue showing up as your best self.  Keep in mind that the more outside noise you use to cover the noise going on in your head, will only fuel the chaos.  Which will leave you feeling drained and in a space of lacking as oppose to abundant and radiant.

Remember You’re Worthy.

Step into your power today, and every day.   Set yourself up for success by loving yourself to the top.  Love your imperfections, love your mistakes, love your why power, love your resilience, love who you were, love who you’re going to be, but most importantly –love who you are today.  She holds all the power.
