Lisa Charless’s Weekly Guidelines: #1
This week I will give you 5 guidelines in order to accomplish your goals. These guidelines are principals you could use. The purpose of these guidelines are to implement them in your everyday life. They work for me, they work for others and I am sure they will work for you.
- Be grateful.
It is so important to be conscious of what you have in life and be grateful. I’d like you to think of three things everyday you are grateful for and write them down. This could be when you wake up or when you go to bed. Or anytime you take a moment for yourself. There is a power in appreciation. It will make you humble.
- Create an environment full of triggers.
Start with your room, this is a place where you can be found daily, right? Fill it with triggers. Write a quote on your door. A letter to yourself. A picture. A reminder. Anything that helps you to work on your goals, every single day. In your life surround yourself with people who work hard, work smart. People who Inspire you, help you to get the best out of yourself. And also think about the food you eat, the workouts you do, about how many sleep you get. Buy healthy stuff, prepare yourself to go to the gym or work-out. Set an alarm when you need to rest.
- Believe
This is where it all starts. When someone wants to succeed in something and eventually does succeed, it is because they started with believing that they are able to get where they want to be. Maybe they don’t know how yet, or when. But they know that they will succeed. They believe. Start believing that it is possible to accomplish your goals.
- Don’t talk, take action.
If you want to talk, talk to yourself about how you are going to make your goals possible, about how you are going to make what you wanwork. Don’t talk to other people. It will only distract you, from getting where you want to go. Instead talk to yourself and focus on your journey. You know yourself best.
- Focus.
That leads me to the most crucial guideline. Focus. Get obsessed about accomplishing your goals. Concentrate so bad on what you want, that everything else will become a distraction. I am telling you in the end it will all be worth it.
Task#1: Go into the future.
I want you to write a letter to yourself. In this letter I want you to act like you are at the point where you have accomplished your goals. Describe how you think it will feel when you finally get where you want to be. Describe the way you think the journey will look like. Write down what you did when you had setbacks how you have planned to overcome them. Now put this letter up on a wall and read it everyday. Let it be a part of your routine until the moment you accomplish this goal.
